Lifetime Warranty
All jewelry pieces in the Birks BusinessTM operated by Rideau programs carry a lifetime guarantee. Most other Service Award items also carry a lifetime guarantee with the exception of electronics, consumer products, hygiene products (electric razors, toothbrushes, etc.), or items that are subject to normal wear and tear by nature of use, such as luggage.
Manufacturers’ Warranties
If there is a problem with your award within the first 30 days you have received it, Birks BusinessTM operated by Rideau will exchange the award for you. When a recipient receives their award, they should immediately register the product with the manufacturer as directed in the product instructions, by completing the product manufacturer’s warranty information card and sending it to the manufacturer. If the return to the manufacturer requires a receipt of purchase for the item, please contact us at our Client Services department and we will be happy to provide you with one.
Damaged Award Items
For any item that is delivered to the recipient in a damaged, defective or malfunctioning condition, we will replace the item at no charge. Upon receipt, we immediately process the return for replacement or exchange, depending on the circumstances.
Warranty on Timepieces
We guarantee dependable functioning of all our timepieces for the lifetime of the products.
This guarantee does not cover regular wear and tear, nor does it cover damage to the watch crown, stem, tube or crystal.
We are pleased to offer complimentary battery replacement for the lifetime of all our watches. Please contact us at the Client Services department at 1-877-550-8115, Monday to Friday between 6:00 AM and 12 AM EST and Saturdays between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM EST for more information. For Birks Quartz Watches, you may also visit a Birks Store to have the watch battery replaced for the lifetime of the watch.
Return Process
To return an award, recipients can contact us by phone at 1-877-550-8115, and a Client Services Representative will assign a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and e-mail or mail the recipient a return merchandise package. The package includes detailed instructions with return labels, courier waybill and courier contact phone number. Courier pick-ups for damaged/defective goods are returned to us at no expense to the recipient or to our clients
